Newspaper
Newspaper Circulation: 12,000

The Newspaper has survived for thirty years on
advertising revenue alone – a testament to the
paper’s quality. When other publications required
student levies to survive, the Newspaper plunged
headlong into campus news with its distinctive wit,
community sensibility, and mainstream approach.
Distribution of the Newspaper is now also extended to the student body at Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD). With this huge readership and the increased distribution points, advertising couldn’t get much easier! At a school
as large as the University of Toronto, media
buyers need to make several buys to cover the
entire population.

The Medium
The Medium Circulation: 5,000

With over 9,000 students on campus, the University of Toronto at Mississauga is the largest college in the University of Toronto. When you’re this large, the joke goes, you get a publication called The Medium. Joking aside, The Medium is the message on this suburban campus. The official student newspaper at UTM, The Medium serves a population of commuter students who live at home, work during the school year, and have thousands of dollars of disposable income. The Medium’s homegrown reporting makes for an entertaining, well-read newspaper. Advertisers should consider The Medium separately from papers at other U of T campuses.
